Step away. It relocks.
When your display turns off, your PC sleeps or your Windows session locks, guarded apps need your passcode again.
Putting the 'PERSONAL' back in PC.
We get it. A personal computer isn’t always personal. Area51 is a free app lock for Windows: add a passcode to the apps you choose before sharing your PC, without closing your work.
How it works
A simple setup. A familiar passcode. No complicated rules or UI to manage & navigate.
Install Area51, verify your email, then create your unlock passcode. Numbers, letters, symbols—or a mix.
Find an app and select Set guard. Protect one or select several together. Keep the apps you don’t need out of the list.
Enter your passcode to bring a guarded app back. Your existing tabs and work stay open behind the guard.
Made for the everyday handover
Your browser holds a lot of your life: saved passwords, payment details, messages and browsing history. Let someone use your PC without making those open windows part of the conversation.
